How things work
Photobook creation is simplified and gives you amazing number of choices and flexibility. There are 44 different layouts you can choose from but instead of previews and 44 PSD files I created 1 (one) template with 44 different layouts. Yes, only one template for pages which contains 44 layouts instantly visible on your screen in full size. Beside pages template there is template for cover and template for copyright and description pages. Here is how exactly things work:
You open Pages PSD template in Photoshop and duplicate it to protect original. Please do not forget to do that, or save it after modifications are done with different name. After opening template you will need to display Layer Comps panel which contains 44 different compositions. Cycle through compositions and find one you like.
After you choose layout go to Layer > Delete > Hidden Layers to delete all extra layers which are used to create 44 different layouts. You will use only 1 layout for one page so all other layers beside those used for that particular layout are sufficient and you will delete them in a second.
Next step is to load and play actions which will guide you to place images in your layout. Immediately after placing images Photoshop will enter free transform mode so you can scale and move images around.
I provided background images and seamless tiling patterns in case you do not want solid color for background of book pages.
Styles provided in package will give you one click effects for placed images. Effects are basic stroke, stroke with drop shadow and various combinations of thin and thick strokes inside along with numerous of vignette effects. If you want to have frame as decoration I am providing you and several frames with horizontal and vertical orientation.
Customization? It is possible off course. Templates are created from pixel based layers clipped to vector shapes. It is easy to change vector shape size and position, you do not need to resize pixel based layers clipped to vector shapes because when playing actions to place images, layers will be converted to Smart Objects and images placed will have 100% of its original sizes regardless of base layer size, distortion and orientation before running action.
